Gentleman. I think about my Grandfather...a strong family man. Full of life, with many stories to tell. A man that people respected. A man that, even at an old age, died too soon. I wish my Children could have listened to his stories and learned his lessons. A true Gentleman. But what does this word mean today? I just heard a quote from an officer that was involved in a high-speed chase in Los Angeles. The passenger of the car shot at the officers, and the interviewed officer reffered to him as a "gentleman". Last week it was a guy who robbed a bank...the spokesperson reffered to the suspect as a "gentleman". I used to think I aspired to be a gentleman...now I'm not so sure. Thugs are respected...and gentlemen are thugs.
